Ergonomic system
Designed for a more natural hand position and less strain over long sessions
Split stance / Reach reduction / Long-session fit
Phenom separates the two halves so your arms and wrists can stay in a more open position. The curved 3D shape follows natural finger reach, reducing awkward stretching and making the board feel easier to settle into over long sessions.
Additive process
This form is made possible by modern additive manufacturing
Phenom is not shaped this way for style alone. Its organic geometry is designed around the hand, and additive manufacturing makes it possible to create a much more complex ergonomic body than a conventional flat shell would allow.
That means the surface can stay sculpted, intentional, and anatomically driven instead of being simplified into something easier to manufacture but worse to use.
Control modules
Add the controls
you actually use
Instead of pushing cursor control and secondary inputs onto separate devices, Phenom brings them onto the keyboard itself. That means fewer reach-outs, less friction between actions, and a setup that reflects how your desk actually operates.
Trackball module
Use the 38 mm trackball for cursor control without reaching for a separate mouse. It is especially useful for code navigation, spreadsheets, browsing, and other precision desktop work.
Touchpad module
Add laptop-like gestures, scrolling, and pointer movement directly to the keyboard. A strong option if you want familiar navigation built into the right half.
Encoder + indicator
A tactile rotary control for volume, zoom, scrolling, timeline scrubbing, and other repeated actions that feel better on a dial than on keys.
Module system
Trackball, touchpad, and encoder modules can be mixed freely across the keyboard, and the same module standard works on both the left and right halves.
Config layer
Open source firmware and Vial keep customization powerful and approachable
Phenom uses open source firmware and works with Vial, so you can remap keys, build layers, assign macros, and reshape behavior without reflashing every time you want to improve something.
That matters because the board is not only for typing. Once modules, layers, and key logic start working together, the keyboard can take over navigation, editing, shortcuts, and repeated actions with much less switching between devices.

Home position
This allows you to type more efficiently and accurately, while minimizing hand fatigue.
For optimal use of the keyboard, fingers should be returned to the position indicated by the gray frame.
Keyboard layers
Hold the blue layer key to activate the symbols layer.
Hold the red layer key to activate the number pad and navigation layer.
Symbols layer
This layer helps you work with a wide range of symbols, such as punctuation marks, different types of parentheses, and mathematical operators.
Cursor control layer
This layer is automatically enabled when you use the touchpad or trackball.

Mouse 2, right click
Mouse 3, middle click
Scroll mode for page movement
Sniper mode for slower, more precise cursor control
Text mode for easier text interaction

Switch interface
Choose the typing feel that fits your hands, not a fixed factory setup
Hot-swap MX compatibility means the keyboard can work with the switches you already like or with a new setup you want to explore. That gives you more control over feel, sound, resistance, and the overall typing character of the board
Keycaps matter too. The experience is not only about the shape of the board, but also about the surface your fingers meet on every press.
Use your preferred MX-compatible switches without soldering
Try tactile, linear, or clicky options depending on your typing style
Adjust the board around both comfort and sound preference
Pair the keyboard with keycaps that match your daily feel and visual taste
Workflow map
Made for desks where the keyboard is central to the work
Keep symbols, navigation, layers, and cursor movement close to the typing position, which reduces interruption during long stretches of writing, coding, and editing.
Coding and writing
Workflow map
Made for desks where the keyboard is central to the work
Pair a trackball or touchpad with an encoder to move through timelines, canvases, and panels with fewer reach-outs to separate devices.
